Wicklow Mountains

On Sunday, we had a rental car and drove south to the Wicklow Mountains. It is a nice way to drive and not too difficult (even when driving on the wrong hand side). Our first stop was Glendalough where we would go for a little hike. On top of the hills it is a bit windy but the view is totally worth the hike.

We found a nice little pub close by and beyond the tourists' ways where we would have traditional Irish pub food (you may imagine!). The good thing about driving in Ireland is that many people prefer doing bus tours. As a result, as soon as you leave the tourists' path, you will be surrounded by the Irish and it is so much fun to listen to what they have to say. There's a particular Irish slang that you need to check out on Youtube or, preferably, in person. Since it's Friday night and I am about to leave for a pint, take care and slainte!
