Top 4 things to do on a Sunday

When assignments start dominating your day, you may want to escape it. Dublin bus offers great routes beyond the city center. Looking for a city escape? Here's my list of 4 things to do!

1) Howth I am a notorious Howth lover. I love that it is neat, its location, its houses...Howth really is the best of both world. So, as a result, I love coming here every one and then. It has become a bit too touristy but has lost none of its charme over the years. I'm a bit biased when it comes to Howth, frankly. Just take bus no. 31 to Howth Summit, which is the last stop. There's a fantastic cliff walk which you can take to get back to the village. Why bother climbing it up? Going downhill gives you the same impressions as climbing up. When getting back, do not miss the historic village as there are less tourists who will get across throughout the year as soon as you get back to the harbor. Make sure to drop by Howth Market, have yourself some fish'n'chips or a coffee. It's peaceful so take a try! You may take the DART, alternatively, however, it is more expensive and it does not take you to the Summit ;-)

Tip: Have you seen Love, Rosie? The last scene of the movie was actually filmed in Howth! I bet you'll find the house! It is not that hard really! P.S.: there are multiple locations throughout Dublin that can be seen in the movie; D2, the airport, Howth.. make sure to watch the film and find the spots!

2) Malahide.

Staying northbound, Malahide is a wonderful suburb to go to. Worth visiting is not only the castle but the entire town plus its seaside. It is super residential, you can take the DART or Dublin Bus.

3) Bull Island.

Yes, Dublin has a strand/ beach and it is grand. Take a walk, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and sort out your stressed thoughts. You'll love it! It's a promise.

4) Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.

Rainy day? Go to Blanchardstown. Firstly, it will take you roughly an hour to get there, depending on where you live. You can take a ride, look outside and get away from the city center on a rainy Sunday. It is a mall/ shopping center, so make sure to take your credit card. They have some stores I do love and some of them are not in the city center.
